- The first poster and video teaser are out for Netflix’s new sci-fi movie Jung_E, which is written and directed by filmmaker Yeon Sang-ho (Monstrous). Releasing next month on January 20, the movie stars the late Kang Soo-yeon (Jury) as well as Kim Hyun-joo (Trolley) and Ryu Kyung-soo (Glitch). Kim and Ryu both worked with director Yeon previously on Hellbound, and will also be in a third project together on the upcoming thriller The Bequeathed. [JTBC]
- Another poster has arrived for JTBC’s Agency, showcasing our ad queen Lee Bo-young (Mine). The office drama will have her face Jo Sung-ha (Adamas) and Sohn Na-eun (Ghost Doctor), and the winner will reign as the next CEO. With production led by PD Lee Chang-min (Monthly Magazine Home, Woohoo Waikiki 2) and writer Song Soo-han, the drama premieres on January 7. [JTBC]
- For KBS’s next weekender, a new lead has been announced for The Real Deal Has Come with Ahn Jae-hyun (People With Flaws) making his dramaland return. Ahn will be stepping in for Kwak Shi-yang (Cafe Minamdang), who recently announced his decision to bow out due to scheduling conflicts with other projects. The family drama is slated to premiere in 2023, following Three Brave Siblings. [Star News]
- In the meantime, casting continues for ENA’s Bora! Deborah with Park So-jin (Alchemy of Souls 2) now joining the lineup as magazine editor Lee Yoo-jung. She will also be reuniting with Yoo Inna (Snowdrop), having worked together before on The Spies Who Loved Me. Also starring Yoon Hyun-min (The Goddess of Revenge), the rom-com is currently being planned to broadcast in early 2023. [MBN]
- New character posters have arrived for Netflix’s upcoming The Glory as well, showcasing the main lineup led by Song Hye-gyo (Now, We Are Breaking Up), Lee Do-hyun (Melancholia), Im Ji-yeon (Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area), and Yeom Hye-ran (The Uncanny Counter). Also starring Park Sung-hoon (Memorials), Jung Sung-il (Our Blues), Kim Hieora (Bad Prosecutor), Cha Joo-young (Again My Life), and Kim Gun-woo (Record of Youth), Part 1 of the revenge-thriller will be unveiling this month on December 30. The series is expected to release Part 2 in March of 2023. [Star News]
