Days after UFC fighter Brian Ortega slapped Jay Park, The “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung reacted to the former’s apology.
The slapping incident dates back to when Chan Sung Jung was interviewed as a guest on ESPN. Jay Park served as Chan Sung Jung’s translator.
Brian Ortega didn’t like how Jay Park translated Chan Sung Jung’s remarks and accused the rapper of instigating a fight.
After the slapping incident, Jay Park reacted by going on Twitter and posting that he “basically said the same thing”.
Just watched the interview back and the funny thing is zombie didnt even say he pulled out. He actually said he already ran away from him once and i said “ducked him” so basically the same thing. Ppl who sayin i mistranslated to hype the fight are dumb

Chan Sung Jung, on the other hand, took to Instagram to express his frustration over what happened. To Brian Ortega, he says:
Jay Park is not a professional fighter but a musician. You slapped a civilian who merely helped translate.
– Chan Sung Jung
He also likened the slapping incident to what a grown up would do to beat a child.
It was not a fight like real men would do. What you have done is same as a grown up to beat a child.
– Chan Sung Jung
The “Korean Zombie” ended his post by calling Brian Ortega a “coward”.
You are such a coward for slapping a musician not a fighter.
– Chan Sung Jung

– Chan Sung Jung
He initially thought that trash talking would be something that his fans would enjoy, but he admitted that the slapping incident taught him to be more careful in the future.
I too, apologize for trash talking. I thought my fans were enjoying it but what happened taught me to be more careful.
– Chan Sung Jung
He ended his statement by promising to fight and officially beat Brian Ortega in a professional fight.
Please wait until my eyes get better. I promise it won’t take long. I’ll see you in the octagon.
