Popular Japanese actor Hamura Miura has passed away by suicide at the age of 30.
Japanese’s NTV News24 broke the news around 3 pm JST, with other media outlets, including Korean outlets, reporting more details about his passing shortly after.

According to Japanese media reports, Haruma Miura was discovered hanging in his house around 1 pm JST on July 18. The cause of death has not been confirmed, but it is widely believed to be due to suicide. He was taken to a nearby hospital after he was discovered, but he was pronounced dead. He was only 30 years old.
Haruma Miura was scheduled to have a meeting on July 18, but he did not show up to the meeting at the scheduled time. One official visited his house, and found Haruma Miura hanging.
Haruma Miura was born in 1990 and started his career as a child actor before transitioning to main roles in many popular films and dramas. He played lead roles in the movie adaptations of popular anime Attack on Titan alongside Kiko Mizuhara, as well as the Japanese remake of Sunny.
He was also connected to the K-Pop industry, as he was known to be friends with EXO’s Chanyeol and was also a fan of BTS, sharing that he owned their album and even attended their Speak Yourself concert in Japan.
