Kim Jaejoong regained his memory in ‘Bad Memory Eraser’ Episode 11

In the MBN Friday-Saturday miniseries Bad Memory Eraser,” the mature romance between Kim Jae-joong and Jin Se-yeon took an unexpected turn with a shocking conclusion.

In episode 11 of Bad Memory Eraser (directed by Yoon Ji-hoon and Kim Na-young, written by Jung Eun-young, and produced by Studio Jidam, Chorokbaem Media, and Kim Jong-hak Production), which aired on the 6th, Jin Se-yeon was stunned to discover that Yang Hye-ji was Kim Jae-joong’s first love. The revelation heightened the tension as Jin Se-yeon recalled part of the day Kim Jae-joong had tried to go to extremes.

During this episode, the pink-hued romance between Lee Gun (played by Kim Jae-joong) and Joo-yeon (played by Jin Se-yeon) captured hearts. After sharing a kiss, they spent the night together at Lee Gun’s grandmother’s old house. They indulged in a drink from Lee Shin’s (played by Lee Jong-won) car, which turned out to be a health tonic his mother Ji-sun (played by Yoon Yoo-sun) had explicitly warned them not to drink at night.

Lee Gun and Joo-yeon, who slept in separate rooms, were unable to rest due to their pent-up energy. Joo-yeon humorously imagined kissing Lee Gun, who she envisioned as Byun Gang-soe. Later, Lee Gun showed Joo-yeon a falling star, adding a touch of romance to the night. The next morning, their happiness was palpable as they laughed together in the car trunk, and Lee Gun further delighted Joo-yeon with a bouquet of flowers he picked.

Meanwhile, Sae-yan (played by Yang Hye-ji) arrived in Korea from Italy in search of her biological father. Sae-yan’s mother, upon receiving a call from Lee Shin, expressed disdain for Sae-yan’s father and tried to take her back to Italy. Despite this, Sae-yan remained determined to find her father. Lee intervened, threatening to sue Sae-yan for fraudulent employment, and then sought out her father, only to be distressed by memories of his own past.

Lee Gun, anxious and troubled, rushed to Joo-yeon and clung to her, pleading, “Don’t go anywhere. Don’t disappear from my sight.” He confessed his fears, saying, “I thought you were dead. I thought you died because of me. It’s okay now because you’re here.” Joo-yeon, feeling guilty for pretending to be his first love, comforted him, promising, “I’m not going anywhere. I can’t go anywhere.” Meanwhile, Lee Shin, who had deep feelings for Joo-yeon, felt betrayed by her relationship with his older brother, despite having once expressed his feelings privately.

At the end of the episode, another crisis emerged in Lee Gun and Joo-yeon’s romance. Joo-yeon learned from Sae-yan’s mother that Lee Shin and Sae-yan had a past, realizing that Sae-yan was the woman Lee Shin had been with in the car. Confused, Joo-yeon confronted Lee Shin at the pool, asking, “To be honest, you’re my first love, Jeon Sae-yan, right?” Lee Shin confirmed this but coldly remarked that nothing had changed and that Joo-yeon should continue distancing herself from him.

Lee Shin then forcibly kissed Joo-yeon in the pool, provoking a confrontation with Lee Gun. The fight culminated in Lee Gun falling into the pool, where his past choices resurfaced, and a glowing band was seen floating in the water, hinting at more mysteries to come.

Bad Memory Eraser is a thrilling miniseries about a man whose life is transformed by a memory eraser and a woman who becomes his first love. The show airs on Fridays and Saturdays at 9:40 p.m. and is available on OTT platforms like Netflix, Tving, and Wavve, as well as exclusively on Japan’s U-NEXT and Rakuten Viki in the Americas, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, and India.
