‘Black Out’ Byun Yohan finally holds decisive evidence, will the plot unfold?

Will Byun Yo-han clear his name by securing crucial evidence in Black Out?

The production team of MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama Black Out, directed by Byun Young-joo and written by Seo Joo-yeon, released a tense new scene on the 6th. In this preview, Go Jeong-woo (Byun Yo-han) is ambushed by mysterious attackers right after obtaining the remains of the victim, Sim Bo-young (Jang Ha-eun).

Last week’s episode revealed that Hyun Geon-oh (Lee Ga-seop), the son of police chief Hyun Gu-tak (Kwon Hae-hyo), had returned from studying abroad in the U.S. and handed over Sim Bo-young’s bag to Jung-woo as a gift. Geon-oh, who had been visibly distressed and inebriated, made a dramatic gesture by kneeling before Jung-woo. This sudden return and possession of the bag has left viewers speculating about Geon-oh’s motives and the significance of the bag.

Jung-woo is now convinced of his innocence and has petitioned Hyun Gu-tak for a reinvestigation, which was denied. Detective Noh Sang-chul (Go Joon) from the Gwangsoo Unit, sensing irregularities in the case, has joined Jung-woo in probing deeper.

The new scene unveiled by the production team heightens suspense. Geon-oh’s reaction upon seeing Jung-woo, along with the ensuing conflict, has ramped up anticipation for episode 7, airing today (the 6th). In this episode, assailants attempt to seize the bag by assaulting Jung-woo, causing him to lose consciousness. The stakes are high as Jung-woo struggles to protect this key evidence.

Additionally, a covert meeting involving Go Bo-gyeol, Lee Tae-goo, and Lee Woo-je has been teased. According to the production team, episode 7 will feature Choi Na-gyeom (Go Bo-gyeol), Yang Byung-moo (Lee Tae-goo), and Shin Min-soo (Lee Woo-je) at a high school reunion, where they engage in a secretive discussion about Jung-woo. Na-gyeom, who had supported Jung-woo during his sentence, along with Byung-moo and Min-soo, who initially seemed welcoming but are now tense, adds layers of intrigue. The contrast in their interactions hints at underlying tensions and psychological games.

As episode 7 unfolds, viewers will be eager to discover who Jung-woo’s true allies are and whether he can uncover more about the mystery surrounding the incident from 11 years ago.
