IZ*ONE will be disbanding after all!
On March 10, Mnet confirmed that IZ*ONE is set to disband in April. Through an official statement, Mnet and Swing Entertainment confirmed that the group will disband as originally planned despite the reports of a possible contract extension. They have come to this decision after discussing with the 12 members agencies, due to their inability to narrow differences between the agencies over the extension of the contract, the group will be disbanding and each member will return to their agency.
They also added that IZ*ONE’s online solo concert ONE, THE STORY will be held for two days on March 13-14.
Mnet ended their statement with,
“Mnet and Swing Entertainment and Off The Record would like to thank all 12 members of IZ*ONE for their wonderful performances, and we will continue to support their growth as artists in the future so that the fantastic stories they have created can continue.
Please look forward to their new beginnings and cheer for them.”
IZ*ONE debuted in 2018 through Mnet’s “Produce 48.” They debuted as a temporary group that would promote for two and a half years.
