‘Doubt’ opens with a heart-stopping incident featuring Han Seok-kyu.
MBC’s new Friday-Saturday kdrama Doubt, premiering for the first time on the 11th, promises to deliver a shocking storyline that will captivate viewers.
Doubt is a “father-daughter thriller” in which the country’s top profiler confronts the dark secret of his daughter, who is involved in a murder case he is investigating. As he desperately seeks the truth, he finds himself spiraling into despair. Actor Han Seok-kyu, returning to his hometown network MBC after nearly 30 years, is generating buzz with his passionate performance.
Han Seok-kyu plays the main character, Jang Tae-soo, a father struggling to connect with his daughter, Ha-bin (Chae Won-bin), whose thoughts are more elusive than those of a criminal.
Tae-soo is consumed by his obsession with solving cases, often neglecting his family in the process. Following his wife’s death, he attempts to reconnect with Ha-bin, but is confronted with an unexpected and shocking incident involving her.
Recently released photos show Tae-soo in a state of confusion at the murder scene. Deeply engrossed in the investigation and seemingly oblivious to his colleagues, he examines the scene with keen intensity. In a departure from his usual composure, Tae-soo appears agitated, sparking curiosity.
After checking his phone, Tae-soo stands with a stunned expression, as if unable to believe what he has just confirmed, heightening the tension. Viewers will be left wondering what revelation about his daughter has thrown him into turmoil.
The production team stated, “Tae-soo faces an incident that turns his life as a father and profiler upside down. The shock of this event makes him feel as though his world is collapsing. You won’t be able to take your eyes off Han Seok-kyu’s performance, which is sure to dominate the screen and engage viewers deeply.”
Episodes 1 and 2 of MBC’s Doubt will have a combined runtime of 90 minutes. The show will air on the 11th and 12th at 9:40 p.m.
