Doubt kdrama coming November 11

MBC’s highly anticipated second half drama Doubt will kick off with a special extended premiere of episodes 1 and 2.

Scheduled to debut on November 11, Doubt will air episodes 1 and 2 starting 10 minutes earlier than usual at 9:40 PM, offering viewers a 90-minute experience.

The production team explained this decision, stating, “We believe episodes 1 and 2 are packed with compelling stories that deserve to be showcased, providing a cinematic immersion. Audiences can look forward to the remarkable chemistry between Han Suk-kyu and Chae Won-bin, along with the unique charm of our ‘father-daughter thriller.’ Don’t miss these episodes!”

Doubt is a gripping drama in which the country’s top profiler confronts a dark secret involving his daughter related to a murder case he’s investigating. As he delves into the truth, he finds himself unraveling. The script, crafted by Han Ah-young—who received high praise at the 2021 MBC Drama Script Contest—combined with the meticulous direction of Song Yeon-hwa, known for the four-part short drama Wild Boar Hunting, promises a captivating viewing experience.

Expectations are high for the cast as well. Han Seok-kyu makes his return to MBC after nearly 30 years since The Moon of Seoul, playing Jang Tae-soo, the profiler father who harbors suspicions about his daughter. Rookie Chae Won-bin takes on the role of Ha-bin, ensuring an intriguing father-daughter dynamic. The impressive cast also includes renowned actress Han Ye-ri, rising star Noh Jae-won, and seasoned actors Yoon Kyung-ho and Oh Yeon-soo, all known for their deep acting skills.

In conjunction with the extended programming, a third teaser has been released, generating buzz. The teaser opens with a tense scene between Jang Tae-soo (Han Suk-kyu) and Ha-bin (Chae Won-bin), highlighting their unconventional father-daughter relationship. It showcases Ha-bin’s suspicious behavior, Tae-soo’s conflicts with colleagues while concealing his daughter’s involvement in a murder, and his inner turmoil as he grapples with suspicion and a desire to trust her. The teaser effectively conveys the actors’ compelling performances and a storyline that amplifies intrigue, raising anticipation for the series.

Episodes 1 and 2 of Doubt will premiere with expanded programming on Friday, November 11, and Saturday, November 12, at 9:40 PM.
