Jung In-sun calculates the best route to her DNA Lover

A new teaser has dropped for TV Chosun’s upcoming DNA Lover, where ~science~ meets ~destiny~ in the titular app developed by our heroine Jung In-sun (Grand Shining Hotel), allowing her to meet love head-on with Choi Siwon (Death’s Game).

Beginning with researcher Han So-jin’s (Jung In-sun) presentation, we learn that DNA Lover is a navigation system that helps us find our special match. Unfortunately for So-jin, she’s given two possible routes to her love destination. But it’s a dilemma worth having when you’re choosing between firefighter Lee Tae-hwan (Thirty-Nine) and OB-GYN Shim Yeon-woo (Choi Siwon).

The problem with the latter, though, is that the first impressions were less than ideal. Having observed other women swoon as Yeon-woo turned on the charm, So-jin is put off by what she calls “fatal pheromones.” It also doesn’t help that So-jin accidentally headbutts our hero afterwards.

Still, Yeon-woo is intrigued and asks Seo Kang-hoon (Lee Tae-hwan) about how he came to know So-jin. In the sequence, we watch as Kang-hoon comes to So-jin’s rescue and he explains that, “She is someone I want to protect.” Yeon-woo then admits that he’s curious about So-jin and shows up with flowers – though his romantic gesture is met with her sneeze.

Despite all the mishaps, our heroine is passionate about her work and she firmly defends that, “My experiments may seem silly, but I believe that there is a genetically-determined match.” We then close the teaser as So-jin comes to face both Kang-hoon and Yeon-woo, wondering which of the two is her DNA lover.

Written by Jung Su-mi (Born Again) with PD Sung Chi-wook (Tomorrow, Mouse) directing, TV Chosun’s DNA Lover will be premiering next month on August 17.
