No Gain No Love kdrama – Episode 7 Recap and Spoilers.
In episode 7 of the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama ‘No Gain No Love,’ which aired on the 16th, Kim Young-dae agreed to move in with Shin Min-ah under the condition that he would divorce her if she wished.
The episode revealed Son Hae-young’s (Shin Min-ah) regret over marrying Kim Ji-wook (Kim Young-dae). During a discussion, Kwon Yi-rin (Jeon Hye-won) mistakenly announced that Manager Ahn would be assigned to the new business team, not realizing that Ahn Woo-jae (Go Wook) was Son Hae-young’s ex-boyfriend. Son Hae-young sighed in frustration, saying, “I shouldn’t have gotten married. It feels like a waste of time.” When Kim Ji-wook asked if she regretted marrying him, she simply replied, “Yes.”
Despite this, Kim Ji-wook pointed out that her marriage had at least helped her become the new business team leader, saying, “At least you got the promotion you wanted because of our marriage.” Son Hae-young admitted that her marriage had indirectly benefited Ahn Woo-jae and that she would have been genuinely happy and congratulatory if things had been different.
Kim Ji-wook offered, “If you want a divorce, just let me know,” to which Son Hae-young asked if he would actually follow through. Kim Ji-wook confirmed he would, saying, “If that’s what you want.” Son Hae-young, however, mentioned that she wasn’t ready for a divorce just yet and noted that the company scrutinizes personal and family histories for major assignments.
In a later scene, Son Hae-young found herself in Kim Ji-wook’s car and questioned why it was parked in her spot, leading Kim Ji-wook to assert, “It’s your car now.” Son Hae-young then suggested he should move into her house. When Kim Ji-wook questioned her logic, she explained that if he lived with her, it would be truly hers. She also suspected that Ahn Woo-jae might be catching on to their fake relationship.
Kim Ji-wook ultimately decided to move into Son Hae-young’s attic and even hosted a housewarming party for his colleagues. During the party, Bok Gi-woon (Lee Chang-ho) commented on Kim Ji-wook’s popularity, noting how female colleagues had reacted strongly when they learned of his marriage.
Son Hae-young later expressed her remorse to Kim Ji-wook, apologizing for disrupting his rookie days and for making him live a fake relationship. Kim Ji-wook, intrigued, asked if she wanted him to pursue a real relationship. Son Hae-young affirmed, leading Kim Ji-wook to suggest, “We can do that now, if you want.” As he moved closer, Son Hae-young closed her eyes, anticipating a kiss. Instead, Kim Ji-wook picked up a key and reiterated, “My body and heart are a package deal; my heart is where my body is.”
After Kim Ji-wook went upstairs, Son Hae-young reflected on Cha Hee-sung’s (Joo Min-kyung) advice about embracing emotions and living life fully. Determined, she went to the attic and kissed Kim Ji-wook as soon as she found him.
