[Trigger Warning/Content Warning: Bullying and Self-Harm]
Former AOA member and now actress, Kwon Mina, has revealed her current status.
Mina hosted a live SNS broadcast on Saturday to communicate with her fans. She appeared wearing a black suit and spoke, “I’ve been well. I’m walking on a flowery path right now.”
This greeting created a positive response among viewers who have been worried about her health. She added, “I am also under treatment so that I can be active again. I will try to be an actress while doing other activities that I like. I hope to see you more often from now on. I will be active a lot.” This further confirmed that she is promising to return for her normal activities. She also swore them that she will be in constant communication through live sessions with her fans.

Mina was under distress when she revealed on social media last month that she left AOA due to Jimin’s harassment that she endured for ten years. She continued the revelation by revealing an anecdote with Jimin, who dismissed it as “fiction.”
Angered by this, she even revealed her scarred wrist, saying, “The novel is too scary to be a novel,” and added, “My suicide note always had my unnie’s name.” She also disclosed that she collapsed because of seizure due to stress. She kept falling down, tried to kill herself, and felt guilty later on.
In response, Jimin finally apologized, saying, “I can’t put everything in short sentences, but I’m sorry and sorry.” However, the apology has even raised questions of sincerity, and has also hurt AOA members’ image.
In the end, FNC Entertainment released a statement regarding the bullying controversy, which involved the leader of AOA, and revealed that Jimin quit the group and retired from the K-pop industry.

Mina said, “You can stop worrying now. I will be back soon following proper treatment through a step by step process as well looking forward to a healthy and bright self appearance, so that you don’t need to worry. I’ll work hard, so please take care of yourselves and don’t get sick until then.”
Mina left AOA in 2019 as the label released a statement that she did not renew her contract but would focus on her career as an actress. She starred in several drama series, such as Wind Bell (2019) as Yeo-Jin and Loss Time Life (2019) as So-Jin.
Prior to her revelations on her Instagram account, fans have noted several hints that she was currently not under a good state of health. A cryptic photo that slightly shows self-harming also surfaced on the internet. Fans are looking forward to her full recovery
