Every so often, Weekly Idol surprises viewers with idols as special guest hosts. For its latest airing, MONSTA X‘s Kihyun and Minhyuk were the next ones to fulfill the role.
In the process, they showed just how kindly senior idols should treat their juniors.
Since rookie group ONEUS were the stars of the episode, they couldn’t escape the Random Play Dance challenge. Because they didn’t practice beforehand and wanted to dance naturally, it was so chaotic that Minhyuk and Kihyun couldn’t help but laugh.
That worked in the group’s favor. Although Kihyun and Minhyuk were thoroughly entertained, they could see their effort and progress, pushing for another chance for ONEUS to take on the challenge. Minhyuk said, “I think they only need a little more. They only need one more try.”
When ONEUS finally succeeded with that last chance, they were dripping sweat and more than ready to dig into the meal they’d earned. Before they could eat comfortably, there was one thing they were missing. They didn’t even have to ask for it.
Having paid attention, Minhyuk came right towards them with a stack of napkins, heading straight for Leedo, who needed one most, “You can clean it with this.”
Even though Minhyuk simply could’ve passed the stack to him and retreated, that wasn’t in his nature. He personally passed them out, handing the rest to leader RAVN, who also covered in sweat. Kihyun was just as kind as Minhyuk.
A meal wouldn’t be complete without a beverage to wash it down with. Seeing that they’d emptied the two bottles of water they’d sipped throughout the filming, Kihyun did what he could. He brought over two new bottles of water and snatched up the empty ones.
With members of ONEUS being fans of MONSTA X, especially Hwanwoong, they’d expressed how thankful they were for their kindness.
Not only did Minhyuk and Kihyun push for ONEUS to succeed and fully supported them, but they were paying attention to the little things the members needed.
Although Minhyuk preferred being a guest on the show rather than a host, it was heartwarming to see how much they looked after their juniors. Watch them show everyone how it’s truly done.
