No Gain No Love kdrama – Episode 10 Recap and Spoilers.
In the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama ‘No Gain No Love’ that aired on the 24th, Bok Kyu-hyun (Lee Sang-yi) confessed to Nam Ja-yeon (Han Ji-hyun) but was rejected, and went to a bar in frustration, where he got drunk from the smell of alcohol and collapsed. Secretary Yeo Ha-jun (Lee Yoo-jin) put Bok Kyu-hyun, who was suffering from unrequited love, in a taxi and delivered him to Ja-yeon’s house.
Ja-yeon, who thought that her biological father who was released from prison had come to visit her house after seeing only Kyu-hyun’s back, pointed her umbrella like a weapon and shouted, “Where do you think you are? You’re not even human. You’re worse than an animal.” Ja-yeon, who recognized Bok Kyu-hyun later, said, “I didn’t know you were Mr. Bok Kyu-hyun. “Are you okay?” she asked, and Kyuhyun apologized to Ja-yeon and hugged her tightly.
While Kim Ji-wook (Kim Young-dae) and Son Hae-young (Shin Min-a) misunderstood the nature of the screamand pushed Kyu-hyun, Bok Kyu-hyun confessed that he had been a malicious commenter of nature. He also said that he had found out about Ji-wook on the day he confessed his love for Ja-Yeon.
Son Hae-young misunderstood this and said, “Jayeon-ah. What did this bastard say to you? If you do as he says, you’ll treat us leniently?” and swung her umbrella, but Ji-wook, who was trying to stop her, got hit. In the end, Ja-yeon said, “I like Bok Gyu-hyun too.” Hae-young ran after Ja-Yeon, and Hae-young said, “Of all the men to fall for, you fell for your hater? I’m against this relationship. It’s me or Bok Gyu-hyun? Choose.”
Ja-yeon said, “I choose you, that’s why I was trying to keep it in. You made me say it out loud. It’s not like Bok Gyu-hyun and I can be together? I’m not an idiot who doesn’t know the ways of the world,” Son Hae-young consoled her, saying, “What’s wrong with you? No matter what anyone says, you’re way too good for him. I can’t give you to a guy like that.”
Meanwhile Gyu-hyun, who awkwardly stayed with Ji-wook while waiting for Ja-Yeon, fell asleep in Ji-wook’s room. Hae-young sighed when she saw the two of them sleeping with the same appearance, as if they might be brothers.
Son Hae-young checked her mailbox and saw the release notice of inmate Nam Chang-il, the father of Ja-yeon who killed Hae-young’s father, was arrested at the scene for murder of Hae-young’s father 10 years ago. After being released, Nam Chang-il inspected the area around Hae-young’s house, heightening viewers’ anxiety.
Yoon Tae-hyung (Heo Jung-min) met Cha Hee-sung (Joo Min-kyung), who was deeply troubled by her pregnancy, and proposed to her with a toy ring, saying, “We dated together, but I’m sorry for making you worry alone. But your child is mine. Cha Hee-sung’s child is also Yoon Tae-hyung’s child.” However, Hee-sung said “We made a mistake. We can’t make another mistake that will affect another life. My decision won’t change.” “Then your decision will be our decision,” Tae-hyung promised.
When Bok Gyu-hyun woke up the next day, Son Hae-young glared at him repeatedly while offering breakfast. However, Bok Gyu-hyun tactlessly asked Son Hae-young, “Don’t you know yet that Kim Ji-wook is going abroad?” and also asked Nam Ja-yeon, “When are you moving?” Son Hae-young, who didn’t know any of the news, got angry and shouted, “If you’re going to leave, both of you should leave now,” and Kim Ji-wook and Nam Ja-yeon, who were watching the situation, quietly left the table.
After that, Son Hae-young warned Bok Gyu-hyun, “Stay away from Ja-yeon,” but Bok Gyu-hyun said, “That’s between the writer and me, our business.” Son Hae-young said, “Are you confident? Are you confident that you can be by Ja-yeon’s side no matter what happens? I am confident. To Ja-yeon, it’s ‘we’ not you.” But Gyu-hyun countered, “can you stay by Ji-wook’s side no matter what?” “No,” she admitted, “but I am confident that I can destroy the guy who ruined my relationship and my family.”
Hae-young noticed Hee-sung’s morning sickness while visiting her mother Lee Eun-ok (Yoon Bok-in) with Hee-sung. Eun-ok, who had been listening quietly, patted Hee-sung’s head and said, “Are you having a baby? Congratulations. You’re going to be a mother. You did well.” Hee-sung hugged Eun-ok tightly.
Kim Ji-wook met Jang Sil-jang (Yoon Seo-hyun) who opened up about following his father’s wishes than becoming a professional rider he wanted to be, and advised, “Mr. Kim Ji-wook, don’t leave the reins of your life to someone else.” Ji-wook made up his mind.
Kim Ji-wook bought a bouquet of flowers to appease Son Ha-young and went home. However, Son Hae-young treated Kim Ji-wook as if nothing had happened. A puzzled Kim Ji-wook asked, “Why aren’t you angry?” Son Hae-young replied, “Do you know how many foster siblings I had growing up in this house? Of all the people, the only ones I have left are Ja-yeon and Hee-sung. I’m used to that. You have to leave, don’t you? So just go.”
Kim Ji-wook turned around and left but suddenly the lights went on again showing Ji-wook only went to turn on the switch. Hae-young said , “Are you going to go?” She berated him for following his grandmother’s wishes and protecting his mother when both have not shown him care. But he countered by telling her she hasn’t shown him she loved him either.
He said, “I love you,” and kissed her. However, when Son Hae-young expressed her anxiety to Kim Ji-wook by saying, “Tell me for sure. Are you leaving or not.” Kim Ji-wook responded, “Is this not enough of an answer,” which put Son Hae-young at ease.
Ja-yeon visited Bokgyu-hyun’s company under the pretext of research, and Gyu-hyun reenacted the scene from ‘Spice Up Our Love’. Gyu-hyun, who was excitedly watching Ja-yeon speak her actual lines, kissed Ja-yeon.
While walking down the hallway, holding hands with fluttering hearts, the two overheard Ahn Woo-jae (Go Wook) and Kwon Yi-rin (Jeon Hae-won) arguing over Son Hae-young. Nam-ja-yeon said with tears in her eyes, “This is my decision that has nothing to do with you. Today is the last day I meet Bok Gyu-hyun. This is our happy ending.”
Ji-wook and Son Hae-young, who opened their eyes in the same bed, were making sweet eye contact when they were suddenly startled by the sound of Ja-yeon coming in. While Ji-wook went out to buy breakfast, Hae-young went to Ji-wook’s room to bring the flowers and was surprised to find a picture taken by Ji-wook and her mother.
Hae-young found Ji-wook’s record written in her mother’s household account book and asked, “Did you live in this house? Were you a foster child? Did you know who I was all this time?” Ji-wook tried to explain but Hae-young backed away, saying, “Get out. It’s creepy, so get out.”
Meanwhile, in the following trailer, it was revealed that Ji-wook was Hae-young’s mother’s last foster child, and Ji-wook went to find Hae-young, who had left for the countryside. In the meantime, Ja-yeon, who was alone, was broken into by her father who had been released from prison.
