Singer and actor Chung Lim, also known as Han Chung Lim, passed away at the age of 37.
On July 20, a media outlet reported that Chung Lim, who had been battling colon cancer, passed away on July 19.
Born in 1986, Chung Lim majored in Korean dance at the Korea National University of Arts and debuted in 2004 with the K-Drama I’m Sorry, I Love You. He also starred in the K-Drama Dream (2009) and made a special appearance in Smile, Mom (2010). He also debuted as a singer in 2009 with his first EP, STEP.
As of August 2021, it was revealed that he was married and working as a sales representative for a motorcycle company.
He was known for his innocent image and was often nicknamed the male version of actress Kim Tae Hee when he first debuted. Since the news of his passing, an outpouring of grief has been seen online. Former Jewelry member Cho Minah wrote on her Instagram that he was “such a bright and pure child” and that “his innocent smile still lingers in her mind, but now we won’t be able to see it.“
