Drama viewership ratings for the week of Feb. 20-26, 2023
Advertisements Rembrary absolutely deserves better, but it’s been clear since way before Ep1 that this drama is not a ratings magnet and will never be. Honestly I’m surprised it even aired on TV at all – could’ve done much better as a streaming-only show. If not for the actors involved, I’d cheer for Kkokdu to […]
Drama viewership ratings for the week of Feb. 13-19, 2023
Advertisements THREE BOLD SIBLINGS has amped up the Makjang and ratings are rising accordingly. For the first time we are seeing normal ratings for a weekender. CRASH COURSE IN ROMANCE is doing well. I would have thought that HEAVENLY IDOL would draw a bigger audience. Source
Drama viewership ratings for the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5, 2023
Advertisements I’ve seen hardly better dramas becoming hits, so… Weak writing certainly did its part here though. Poor guys would’ve end up jobless because divorce as we know it was not a thing back then. The only way to get out of unwanted marriage was a bloody one – literally. Poison sellers were in huge […]
Drama viewership ratings for the week of Jan. 16-22, 2023
Advertisements Why does no one watch ENA dramas? I thought after Extraordinary Attorney, people would be at least a little bit more interested in what they have on offer. When ENA dramas have been good, they’ve been great, and when they’ve been bad, they’ve still crashed in interesting ways (and given us the gift of […]

Soooo close to double digits. Meanwhile, Red Balloon […]
Drama viewership ratings for the week of Dec. 26-Jan. 1, 2022
Advertisements I’m thinking that I have an uncanny ability to have my finger off the pulse of the Korean viewer, since 3 of my favorite shows of 2022–Sh**ting Stars, Gaus Electronics, and Unlock the Boss have been 3 of the lowest rated. I’m just advertising this ability here for 2023, in case any production company […]
Drama viewership ratings for the week of Dec. 12-18, 2022
Advertisements Having now watched about half the episodes of Reborn Rich, I am a little puzzled as to its growing appeal. Its original (and probably a great part of its continued) success seems clearly due to bravura performance by Lee Sung-min. But the other characters, including a rather bland (in this show) Song Joong Ki […]
Drama viewership ratings for the week of Nov. 28-Dec. 4, 2022
Advertisements Reborn Rich’s ratings growth is crazy. Jtbc isn’t like tvN that consistently has dramas hit 10% but when they have a hit, they have a massive hit. I’m happy Under the Queen’s Umbrella ended as tvN’s highest rated drama of the year. I don’t even like sageuks much and loved this one. Source
