On the first-ever live concert, “PKS Rewind 2020: The Online Reunion,” brought by the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines, the first generation to fourth generation K-pop enthusiasts gathered together to feature their talent, music, and entertainment.
Celebrated PKS judges including concert producer extraordinaire, Happee Sy and K-Pop Dancing Diva, Dasuri Choi also conveyed their words and inspirational talks amidst the difficult circumstances the world is facing right now, and also showed their gratitude on the continuous support of everyone to the skyrocketing K-Culture’s popularity in the Philippines.

Meanwhile, despite the celebration, the event also supports and encourage the viewers and fans of the first-ever KCC’s live concert to always remember the best practice an individual should observe to prevent the spread of the virus, lead by the K-pop Dancing Diva Dasuri Choi who performed the K-Safe Dance Challenge.
The K-Safe Dance Challenge, currently available on KCC’s YouTube Channel, is the new normal and most creative way to remind people the basic steps to counter the virus, including proper ways to wash your hands, consistent use of masks, and the being mindful of social distancing to avoid transmission of the virus.
On the other hand, based on the theme of the concert connected to the word, “rewind,” the show aims to bring back and reminiscence the feelings and memories of being an avid K-pop fan by listening to the performance of the past PKS winners. The performers showcased their talents and skills through performing their covers of hit Korean songs in each era of K-pop.

Undoubtedly, their majestic stage reached hundreds and thousands of viewers who are anticipating the free concert.
Moreover, a special portion on the memorable evolution of K-Pop through the years also laid down the path for the viewers to have a heartwarming walk on a memory lane.
Timeless and classic OST or Original Soundtrack of famous Korean Dramas including “Reply 1988” and “Itaewon Class,” as well as comedy film “My Sassy Girl” was showcased, giving back the feels and peek of the unforgettable scenes with the significant lessons the viewers learned from the dramas and film.
Aside from vocal performances, girl groups’ cover was also shown including the hit of “K-pop fairies” S.E.S and Wonder Girls. At the same time, IU’s hit song, “Good Day” also spiced up the concert, along with the appearance of P-pop boy group SB19, who performed their new songs.

The performances comforted several fans and viewers who are having a challenging time. KCC’s live concert just proved that despite the circumstances, the support of Filipinos to Korean culture in undying, following the live views that peak at 20,000 in the approximate two-hour broadcast.
Following this successful initial venture online, KCC is also preparing to kick off with another event, the Korean Film Festival, bringing the most loved films into the homes of every K-Culture enthusiast via digital platform this upcoming September.
Fans can expect an excellent lineup, one that would bring “Crash Landing On You” good vibes and happiness that goes beyond that of the “Itaewon Class.”
