Rainbow member and current actress Go Woori will be appearing in the new drama “Mentalist” (working title)!

“Mentalist” is a Korean adaptation of the American crime drama series “The Mentalist,” about a “psychic” who uses psychological tricks to assist the police as he tracks down the serial killer who murdered his wife and daughter.

Park Shi Hoo has been cast as the male lead, who was played by Simon Baker in the original version. Lee Si Young has been cast as a police detective who is the team leader of the regional investigation unit. Kim Jung Tae has also been cast in the drama.

Go Woo Ri will play the role of Park Eun Hye, a police detective who is the “brains” of the regional investigative unit. She is usually part of the support team, but she is always waiting for her chance to get to go to the scene of the crime. She is hot-tempered and ambitious for the title of team leader, but she respects and admires Lee Si Young’s character.

“Mentalist” is director Pyo Min Soo’s first return to the director’s chair in three years. Pyo Min Soo has directed dramas like “Lie,” “Full House,” “Worlds Within,” “Iris 2,” and “The producers.” The adaptation is being written by Sung Jin Mi, who is known for winning the Broadcasting Contents Promotion Foundation’s screenwriting contest exhibit with “The Third Hospital.”
