Red Velvet Wendy is now undergoing rehab as part of her recovery stage after her stage accident.
In one of the interviews of Red Velvet, the girls updated the audience of the current status of one of their members, Wendy. According to the girls, she is currently spending most of her days on her own by doing rehab exercises as well as practicing singing. It was also mentioned that she connects with them a lot and even send her encouragement to Irene and Seulgi’s debut as a duo with their first mini-album, “Monster.”

It was recalled that in the latter part of 2019, Wendy was reported to have met an accident while having a rehearsal of her supposed performance on SBS’s annual Gayo Daejun event. Unfortunately, she fell off the stage, which caused her seriously injured. She was then rushed to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with pelvis and wrist fractures as well as facial injuries.
Thus, on the actual event, the girls performed their then newly released single, “Psycho” as four members with the exception of Wendy. She was still under strict monitoring at the hospital, according to her label, SM Entertainment.

Along with it, Irene also shared their plans for the rest of 2020. She said, “First, our sub-unit will be propping-up another track, “Naughty,” and we are hoping to come back as a group as well. We are going to embark on both group and solo activities, so please look forward to it.”
Earlier this month, Red Velvet’s first-ever sub-unit that composes Irene and Seulgi paved its way with their debut mini-album, “Monster” that is currently hitting various music charts such as iTunes worldwide. Recently, both received their #1 trophy for topping the highest peak of the charts. Currently, over 31 million YouTube subscribers have viewed the said music video.

Along with it, the duo has launched its reality show, “Level Up Irene X Seulgi Project.” According to the girls, they came up with such an idea after receiving tons of questions about each other in several interviews and radio shows.
Meanwhile, Wendy still gave her ultimate performance with the K-pop version of Dreamworks’ “Trolls World Tour” where she voiced as one of the trolls along with SF9 Rowoon. The netizens heavily lauded the duet as both have powerfully blended their vocals to present a Korean-version of the animated motion picture.
