Your Honor is an ENA channel K-Drama set to air in mid-August 2024.
In a recent behind-the-scenes video for the show’s first script reading, actress Jung Eun Chae introduced her role to the viewers with a short pixie haircut that made her close to unrecognizable.
While Jung debuted her short-haired look on her Instagram weeks ago, the video caught the attention of a wider audience outside her following.
Jung’s transformation since March 2024, when she confirmed her relationship with artist and TV star Kim Chung Jae, awed K-Drama viewers…

…though, following the video, some questioned her casting in the role of a “righteous prosecutor” when her past multiple scandals involved extramarital affairs.
Top Actress’ Multiple Scandals Involving Affairs And Married Men Resurface After Recent Dating News
- “Do we not have enough actresses active in the business or something? What is the reason we keep casting the adulterous one who keeps going after other women’s husbands? I do not understand.”
- “Has her acting gotten better at all?”
- “She doesn’t look that good with the pixie cut.”
- “Kim Myung Min should watch out.”
- “Something about her face seems different.”
- “Would kill for more married men!”
- “A prosecutor? Righteous, at that? This role is not fit for an actress whose past scandals are so controversial. There are tons of other actresses who could have been cast for this! I hope she learns to start dating the right men.”
- “She reminds me of Code Kunst, but like prettier.”
- “It’d be great if all cast members could have solid morals. But at least, refrain from working with someone who has none to go after married men.”
- “Whenever she would appear in Son The Guest, I would take it as a bathroom break. The show was otherwise a thriller masterpiece, but her scenes remain its sole flaws.”
Jung’s one of two scandals broke in 2013, when the famous Japanese magazine FRIDAY reported that the actress was spotted on dates with Japanese actor Kase Ryo. According to the magazine’s reports, the two were seen in Kanagawa together, booked at the same hotel in Tokyo. At that time, Kase Ryo was also reportedly living with his long-term girlfriend, Mikako Ichikawa, a famous Japanese actress.
Her then-agency (Blue Dragon Entertainment) soon denied the reports. The agency claimed the movie’s director Hong Sang Su and the main cast, Kase Ryo, Moon So Ri, and Jung Eun Chae, had planned a trip together to Japan. But due to a scheduling conflict, only Jung ended up traveling and met Ryo in Japan. The two were said to be close friends, and Ryo had offered to show Jung around—which was mistaken to be a date.
Jung’s first scandal was in 2010, though the details were released a decade later when Jung faced intense backlash for her appearance in the K-Drama The King: Eternal Monarch. Read more about her first affair here:
