Actress Shin Hae-sun Encounters Her Second Personality in ‘Dear Hyeri’
On September 13th, the production team of Genie TV’s upcoming original drama ‘Dear Hyeri’ unveiled the main trailer, heightening anticipation for the series. The video features the daily lives of Joo Eun-ho (played by Shin Hae-sun), who is constantly struggling, and Joo Hye-ri (also played by Shin Hae-sun), who exudes a vibrant and joyful aura.
‘Dear Hyeri’ is a heartwarming romance about Eun-ho, an announcer with a newly awakened personality, and her ex-boyfriend Hyeon-oh (played by Jin-wook Lee), who helps heal the emotional wounds they both carry.
The trailer opens with Eun-ho waking up at 4 a.m. to her alarm. Despite her 14 years of experience as an announcer, she faces criticism for lacking depth and skills, with Hyun-oh’s harsh comment, “You’re embarrassing,” highlighting her struggles. Eun-ho’s dry self-talk, “I’m going to burn, every day,” reveals her pain and sense of invisibility in the competitive broadcasting world. Despite his cold demeanor, Hyun-oh’s gaze remains fixed on Eun-ho, hinting at the unresolved romance between them after an eight-year relationship.
As the clock strikes 4 p.m., Hae-ri’s cheerful and energetic daily life begins. Hye-ri, accompanied by lively music, gazes at Joo-yeon (played by Kang Hoon) and says, “I have someone I like,” leading Joo-yeon to ask, “Hye-ri, can you stay with me a little longer today?” This sets the stage for a sweet first-love storyline between the two.
The tension escalates when Hyun-oh arrives at Eun-ho’s home and calls out, “Hey, Joo Eun-ho,” causing Hye-ri to react with confusion. Hae-ri’s puzzled response, “It’s really strange. I’m Hye-ri,” reveals that Eun-ho and Hye-ri are the same person. This twist leaves viewers wondering how the dynamic will unfold between Joo-yeon, who addresses her as “Ms. Hye-ri,” and Hyun-oh, who refers to her as “Hey, Joo Eun-ho.”
‘Dear Hyeri’ is set to premiere on Genie TV, Genie TV Mobile, and ENA at 10 PM on September 23rd.
