In episode 8 of Channel A’s weekend drama “Cinderella at 2 AM” which aired on September 15, Yoon-seo (played by Shin Hyun-bin) accepted Joo-won’s (played by Moon Sang-min) surprise proposal, sealing their feelings with a passionate kiss.
Following Yoon-seo’s mother’s funeral, Joo-won unexpectedly proposed, saying, “Let’s get married.” Though initially hesitant, Yoon-seo ultimately accepted the proposal after thoughtful consideration. Despite Joo-won’s mature demeanor, he still displayed his endearing, puppy-like nervousness in front of Si-won (played by Yoon Park).
Meanwhile, Sungmin (played by Lee Hyunwoo) supported Yoon-seo through her various challenges. He reassured her, “If I wanted to see you, I would have gone straight to the castle where the prince was,” and cheered on “Ha Yoonseo’s Cinderella.” Joo-won faced further conflicts with his mother (played by Jin Heekyung), who, despite his determination, caused him to leave for Spain. Realizing her true feelings, Yoon-seo rushed to the airport to confess her love, declaring, “I’ll be hanging on to you now.”
It was soon revealed that Joo-won’s departure was just a 4-night, 5-day business trip. Their reunion rekindled their romance as Yoon-seo waited for Joo-won at his hotel, appreciating his patience. The episode culminated in a heartfelt and romantic night, marked by a deep kiss between the two.
The episode also explored the “marriage first, date later” scenario of Siwon and Mijin (played by Park Sojin), who married for political reasons. Although Siwon, whose social media ban was lifted thanks to Mijin’s posts, initially felt let down by the tight schedule of their outings, Mijin soon arranged a genuine date. As they spent more time together, their attraction grew stronger. Siwon ultimately won Mijin’s heart with his sincere confession, “I think I like you.” Is this the beginning of a real couple?
