No Gain No Love kdrama – Episode 8 Recap and Spoilers.
In Episode 8 of the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama ‘No Gain No Love,’ which aired on the 17th, a pivotal moment unfolded when Kim Ji-wook (played by Kim Young-dae) shared a passionate kiss with Son Hae-young (Shin Min-ah).
The episode took a dramatic turn when Nam Ja-yeon (Han Ji-hyun) spotted Ahn Woo-jae (Go Wook) standing outside Son Hae-young’s house, observing Kim Ji-wook moving his belongings into the attic. Concerned, Nam Ja-yeon alerted Son Hae-young, who then ascended to the attic and kissed Kim Ji-wook.
After parting from the kiss and watching Ahn Woo-jae leave, Son Hae-young expressed relief, saying, “Thank goodness. That could have been a real disaster.”
Son Hae-young expressed her concern about the situation, questioning, “Isn’t it suspicious? After the housewarming, if your husband leaves with the wedding photos and luggage and doesn’t return, he must have noticed something, right?” Kim Ji-wook, irritated, retorted, “Does that even matter now? The guest just kissed me.”
Son Hae-young, apologetic, asked, “Was this the first time? What should I do? I’m really sorry. I’m in a rush and even left your phone behind. Ahn Woo-jae is watching,” to which Kim Ji-wook snapped, “If you’re in a hurry, can you just kiss like that? Fake it.”
Trying to downplay the situation, Son Hae-young said, “It was just a kiss. We just kissed,” but Kim Ji-wook responded by kissing her again and provocatively said, “I’m curious. How far can you fake it? If you can fake it and still do everything without thinking, then I’ll enjoy it from now on. With you, Son Hae-young.”
Later, while furniture shopping with Kim Ji-wook, Son Hae-young advised, “You’ll use a bed for a long time once you buy it. It’s important to get a good one. Did you find anything you liked?”
Kim Ji-wook admitted, “There was something I liked, but it’s a bit too expensive for me. My salary is modest.” Son Hae-young responded, “Choose whatever you like. I’ll buy it for you.”
Despite Kim Ji-wook’s attempts to dissuade her, Son Hae-young insisted, “I want you to sleep in a nice bed with a good blanket. No matter how tough things are during the day, when you come home and lie down, I want you to feel like a king. You are my one and only king, so I need to take care of you properly. Sleep well, Ji-wook.”
Kim Ji-wook playfully remarked, “I’m not confused. Even if guests talk indirectly, I hear them clearly. I like this arrangement too. My kingdom has been completely taken over by a tyrant from a neighboring country,” to which Son Hae-young responded, “Do you know what happens when a king falls for indulgence? The subjects suffer and starve.”
Later, Son Hae-young shared her feelings with Kim Ji-wook, saying, “Ji-wook, will you wait for me? I want to start today without worrying about new business, performance evaluations, promotions, or the risk of our fake marriage being discovered. I just want to focus on you and us.”
Kim Ji-wook agreed, “That’s exactly what I mean,” and Son Hae-young asked, “I was going to say this that day, but Ahn Woo-jae ruined it. Can you wait for me?” Kim Ji-wook assured, “I’ll wait. You won’t even notice I’m waiting.”
In a dramatic twist, Bok Gyu-hyun (Lee Sang-yi) discovered that Kim Ji-wook was his half-brother. Just as Ji-wook and Hae-young were leaning in for a kiss Bok Gyu-hyun barged in and declared, “So you’re really him. My father… You’re not Kim Ji-wook, but Bok Ji-wook.” At that moment, Son Hae-young, who was with Kim Ji-wook, was stunned and asked, “Are you the illegitimate child of that family?”
