tvN has released the main trailer for their upcoming drama “Yumi’s Cells”!
Based on a hit webtoon, “Yumi’s Cells” is about an ordinary office worker named Yumi—from the point of view of the many brain cells in her head controlling her every thought, feeling, and action. Kim Go Eun stars as the titular Yumi, an ordinary woman who struggles with expressing her feelings, and Ahn Bo Hyun co-stars as Goo Woong, a warmhearted but straightforward game developer.
In the main trailer, Yumi finds herself attracted to Woo Gi, the most popular guy at her workplace (played by SHINee’s Minho). She can’t help staring at him wherever he goes, and when they’re alone together in the elevator, she tries to strike up a conversation by saying, “You’re working late tonight too, right?”
But when he says that he’s not, she retreats in embarrassment inside her own head and thinks, “I’ve completely lost my touch.” Yumi’s brain cells, who are cute animated figures, decide that three years is long enough for Yumi’s dating slump and decide to shake things up a bit.
At this moment in time, the awkward but lovable Goo Woong appears and says in an awkward monotone, “Hello, Kim Yumi. My name is Goo Woong.”
Check out the trailer below!
“Yumi’s Cells” premieres on September 17 at 10:50 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
