KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “Police University” has shared a hilarious new teaser!
“Police University” is a new drama about the chaotic investigation that ensues when a professor at an elite police university teams up with his students—one of whom is a genius former hacker. B1A4’s Jinyoung and f(x)’s Krystal will star as university students Kang Sun Ho and Oh Kang Hee, while Cha Tae Hyun will star as passionate detective and professor Yoo Dong Man.
The newly released teaser, which is amusingly presented as a faux commercial for police university, begins with Kang Sun Ho declaring, “I will always stand for justice.”
Amidst glimpses of the students’ lives as they train to become police officers, the voice-over proudly declares, “The birthplace of justice: police university. We put the country and its people first.” As Kang Sun Ho loyally takes one for the team when he and his friends get caught sneaking a late-night snack, the voice-over continues, “At every moment, we will preserve our honor.”
Before training begins, one of the professors warns them, “You’re going to experience hell, so much so that you’ll be missing your mother at every moment. Endure it. Overcome it.” As the clip advertises the school’s “extracurricular clubs,” the exhausted students jokingly remark, “Death might be better than this.”
The caption also teases that the library, which is supposed to be a “place of learning,” is actually a “place of love.” Although the professor tells them, “You’re the ones who will be leading the next generation of public security,” the male students seem to be more interested in “conquering love” than their studies.
The voice-over concludes, “It all starts here, at police university,” and an excited Kang Sun Ho passionately exclaims, “I’ll make sure to get in no matter what!” In true commercial style, he cheesily adds, “The university I want to go to: police university.”
However, at the very end of the teaser, Yoo Dong Man intriguingly suggests that there may be trouble brewing at the school. The detective secretively tells someone, “I think there’s something [to be investigated] at police university.”
“Police University” premieres on August 9 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will be available with subtitles on Viki. In the meantime, check out the new teaser below!
