Will Lee Eun-Sam, Red Velvet Yeri and Lee Jong-Hyuk return in ‘Bitch X Rich’ Season 2?

Wavve Original series ‘Bitch X Rich’ has officially announced the production of its highly anticipated Season 2.

Bitch X Rich’ has confirmed that Season 2 is in development and casting has begun. Most of the actors from Season 1 are reportedly eager to return for the new season.

Bitch X Rich’ explores the intense power dynamics and psychological battles that erupt when Kim Hye-in (Lee Eun-sam), the only witness to a high school girl’s murder, transfers to the prestigious Cheongdam International High School. There, she encounters Baek Je-na (Kim Ye-rim), the influential leader of the Diamond 6, the most powerful clique at the school and a key suspect in the case.

Season 1 achieved significant success, ranking 2nd in the weekly Netflix TV drama category. It was broadcast in 19 countries, including Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the United States, Canada, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The series also made waves by securing a spot in the top 10 overall rankings on platforms like ABEMA TV, Viu, and iQIYI.

Actor Lee Jong-hyuk, who portrayed Seo Do-eon, the chairman’s son and a pivotal figure in the school’s power structure, is also in talks to return. Lee Jong-hyuk earned acclaim for his nuanced portrayal of Seo Do-eon, showcasing his transformation from an unstable, vulnerable character to a more grounded one. KPop Group Red Velvet member Yeri (Kim Ye-rim) is similarly considering a role. Kim Ye-rim stood out for her striking portrayal of Baek Je-na, the affluent and confident queen of Diamond 6, combining bold fashion with a powerful, charismatic performance.

Kim Ye-rim’s portrayal of Baek Je-na’s complex emotions, including the pain from her troubled family background and the pride she maintains due to her position, added depth to the character and heightened the drama’s immersion.

Lee Eun-sam, who drew viewers’ attention with her compelling depiction of Hye-in’s raw school life, is also considering a return. Her performance resonated with audiences, offering a realistic portrayal that fostered deep empathy.
