The 2020 APAN Star Awards was held on January 23 to celebrate the best of Korean TV, and this year, Hyun Bin was awarded the Daesang (Grand Prize) for his role as Ri Jeong Hyuk in tvN’s “Crash Landing on You.”
Hyun Bin’s acceptance speech for the award has been a trending topic among netizen, the speech was said so beautifully and in it, Hyun Bin mentions his girlfriend and fellow “Crash Landing on You” co-star Son Ye Jin but not in the way people would’ve expected from him.
Here is what he said,
“I am so grateful to start off the new year with such an honorable award.
I have a feeling that I should do better this year in response to this award. I’ve received lots of love thanks to ‘Crash Landing on You’ all year last year and even until today. Thank you to my fans and to the viewers who have supported and watched ‘Crash Landing on You’ over the years.”
The second part of his speech touched fans hearts all over the world, he said,
“Also, I am so thankful for Jeong Hyeok’s best partner Yoon Se Ri, Ye Jin-ssi.
I believe it was Ye Jin-ssi who portrayed Yoon Se Ri so well was what made Ri Jeong Hyeok shine much brighter and helped breathe life into his character. I wanted to thank you all, and I will do my best to show an even better self in the near future to all of you.”
Fans couldn’t help but admire how Hyun Bin gave a nod to Son Ye Jin as his co-star and for her acting performance. The couple was confirmed to be dating earlier this month.
