Making the Twitter trends isn’t easy, but BTS fans have managed to do it even with the craziest of words and phrases.
1. A keyboard smash
On February 1, a Twitter account that monitors BTS charting (@btschartdata) tweeted a keysmash in excitement for “EGO” dropping the next day.

And what did the rest of ARMY twitter do? Trend it, of course.

2. “YOUR HAIR”
Back in August 2019, Jungkook posted a photo of his new long hairstyle to Twitter.
ARMYs, understandably, freaked out on Twitter.

3. “5 BTS”
Earlier in February, ARMYs started a fun game on Twitter, encouraging all fans to post 5 BTS songs that would help people get to know them. You can guess what happened next.
So apparently Armys are doing a thing called “5 BTS songs to get to know me” and y’all accidentally trended this pic.twitter.com/V9tX6VmGeE

4. “where is it”
The day Steve Aoki’s “Waste It On Me” featuring BTS was due to drop, ARMYs were waiting excitedly. But at the supposed time to release, the song never actually showed up. Fans tweeted “where is it?” so many times, the phrase actually showed up in the worldwide trends.
i ain’t ever forget how we armys accidentally trended “where is it” pic.twitter.com/JC4XxDbR0X

5. “WHERE IS YOONGI”
While the GRAMMY Awards rehearsals were in full swing, Ariana Grande uploaded to most iconic photo of herself with BTS—well, six of the members, anyway.
Suga was nowhere to be seen, and ARMYs demanded to know where on earth he was.
Really Army we accidentally trended WHERE IS YOONGI to #2 WW.. @BTS_twt pic.twitter.com/hSFG7vHFIy

6. “HAVE A SAFE FLIGHT”
When BTS flew out to the United States in January for the GRAMMY Awards, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and more promotional activities, ARMYs wished them a safe flight. Little did they know, the phrase would end up trending—in all caps, too.

7. “2 minutes” & “one minute”
As a K-Pop stan, is there anything more exciting than counting down the seconds to a new release? Filipino ARMYs got so excited for “Shadow” to drop, they ended up trending their countdowns!
PH ARMYS accidentally trended 2 minutes amd 1 minute (with Agust D in the middle ) because of #ShadowComebackTrailer pic.twitter.com/42DQ3o3fTJ
