Jennie of BLACKPINK has officially begun preparations for her highly anticipated solo comeback.
On September 9, Jennie’s agency, OA Entertainment, announced that she has signed a partnership with the renowned American record label Columbia Records. Jennie is set to release a new solo single in October.
Columbia Records, a leading label under Sony Music Entertainment, is home to top global artists such as Beyoncé, Adele, and Harry Styles. The label plans to offer comprehensive support for Jennie’s solo endeavors.
This upcoming single marks Jennie’s first solo release in about a year, following her special single “You & Me” from October 2023. Fans around the world are eagerly awaiting her return.
Jennie’s previous collaboration, “One Of The Girls,” with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, achieved remarkable success, surpassing 1 billion streams on Spotify and spending 20 consecutive weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100. This track earned Jennie the distinction of being the first Korean female solo artist to receive a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.
In addition, Jennie’s solo music video for “SOLO” surpassed 1 billion views in April, making her the first K-pop female artist to achieve this milestone.
With her ongoing global influence and a track record of breaking records, Jennie’s forthcoming activities are highly anticipated.
