BTS‘s record-breaking continues in 2020 with MAP OF THE SOUL: 7!
When fans say BTS’s greatest rival is BTS, they’re right. In its first week of pre-orders alone, BTS’s new album surpassed 3.42 million stock pre-orders, breaking the previous pre-sales record set by MAP OF THE SOUL: Persona in 2019. Now, MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 has smashed another sales record, following its February 21 release.
According to Hanteo Chart, 3,378,633 copies of the album were sold in its first week. That’s approximately 1.24M more than MAP OF THE SOUL: Persona, which sold 2,130,480 in its first week, back in April 2019.
How many more records will these history-makers break this year? We’ll find out soon enough!
