The members of CNBLUE may be in their early thirties but still maintain their idol image. It resulted in a funny moment when Jung Yonghwa humorously tried to deny that he didn’t have a dating life at all.
During the latest episode of Pungja Loves Alcohol, Pungja asked the idol band singer when he wrote his title track “Your City”. Since he wrote the breakup song this year, she asked, “So you went through a sad breakup this year?”
Like an experienced idol, Jung Yonghwa quickly denied the question.
But when Pungja revealed that she went through a breakup at the same time, the idol appeared to relate. Making them both laugh, Jung Yonghwa admitted, “Well, something did happen.”
Pungja quickly realized why she wouldn’t get any more information from Jung Yonghwa. She explained that his idol image shouldn’t stop him from dating, especially as he enters his mid-thirties.
You’re still an idol, aren’t you? Well, what’s the problem? You’re old enough to date!
— Pungja
So when Jung Yonghwa revealed that he wrote the song in ten minutes, Pungja pointed out that his emotions must’ve been extremely strong. She said, “It must’ve been a really heartbreaking breakup.” By then, Jung Yonghwa caused even more laughter by putting his hands together and jokingly “begging” Pungja to change the topic.
Pungja made everyone laugh by saying, “The manager will ask for an edit of this scene.” Jung Yonghwa may be older but knows just how tricky dating can be for K-Pop idols.
