Grocery shopping with Lee Shin-young in TVING’s CEO-dol Mart

Like a flash of lightning, TVING sneak-dropped the news that CEO-dol Mart will be releasing next week, showcasing our idol-turned-shopkeeper boys in the comedy’s first posters and video teaser.
Opening on our core five’s origins as the Thunder Boys idol group, in the sequence we’re introduced to leader Choi Ho-rang – played by Lee Shin-young (Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 3) – in addition to EXO’s Xiumin (a.k.a. Kim Min-seok) in the role of main dancer Shin Tae-ho.
Rounding out the team we also have Monsta X’s Hyungwon (Fly, Again) as rapper Jo Yi-joon, Choi Won-myung (The Fabulous) playing vocalist Eun Young-min, and last but not least, Lee Sae-on (Light on Me) takes on the Thunder Boys maknae Yoon Sang-woo.

But with one fateful incident, the group’s sunny dreams and promising future in idol-dom disappeared with the storm, and the Thunder Boys were soon disbanded. Time jump to five years later when Ho-rang is surprised to hear that he and his former members co-own a local mart.
Driven by a new dream, our talented Thunder Boys are reunited. But while they excel in song and dance, I expect we’re in for some fumbling shenanigans as the five learn how to pivot their skills, serenading the produce and choreographing the stock. At the very least, the team won’t be running the business completely blind as the no-nonsense part-timer Choi Jung-woon (The Empire) will be taking the reins as their experienced guide.
On the production side, PD Lee Yoo-yeon (Light on Me) is at the helm with scripts penned by Jang Kyung-rim (Fly, Again). TVING’s CEO-dol Mart will be launching on September 15.
