Drama viewership ratings for the week of Oct. 18-24, 2021

We welcomed one new show this week, and boy, did it make a splash. Thriller-action drama Jirisan premiered to a super impressive 9.1 percent. And this made the drama the second-highest rated premiere in tvN history, just behind Hospital Playlist 2. I guess this doesn’t really come as a surprise, considering it comes from Kingdom writer Kim Eun-hee and stars Jeon Ji-hyun and Joo Ji-hoon. Still, what a way to start!
We have a lot more dramas awaiting us in November, but for now, the last of the early fall shows are wrapping up. The Veil came to a decent end at 8.8 percent, while Human Disqualification came to a quiet end, maintaining a consistent 1-2 percent rating throughout its run. Lovers of the Red Sky, Hometown, and Yumi’s Cells will be ending next week. With that, I’m ready for some new (hopefully fun) content!
