Introducing Disney+’s Moving superheroes

Taking the fantastical world of superheroes imagined by Kangfull in his popular webtoon Moving, Disney+ brings the story into live-action with an impressive cast lineup. We’re introduced to some of our main characters in the latest batch of new posters.

To start, we have our trio of secret agents played by Ryu Seung-ryong (Kingdom), Han Hyo-joo (Happiness), and Jo In-sung (It’s Okay That’s Love).

Unable to feel (physical) pain, our main protagonist Jang Joo-won (Ryu Seung-ryong) has regenerative abilities as well and quickly heals from any injury or wound. As we read in his poster’s tagline, all he wanted was to help save other people.

For Lee Mi-hyun (Han Hyo-joo), though, life has always been a battle, despite having heightened senses that give her an advantage over others. She is married to the flying Kim Doo-shik (Jo In-sung), who also has a hardened outlook and lives by his own rules.

In contrast, bus driver Cha Tae-hyun (Brain Works) plays the electricity-wielding Jeon Gye-do, who tries to live each day to his fullest. Also optimistic is Kim Sung-kyun (D.P. 2)’s speedy and strong Lee Jae-man, who is determined to be reunited with his son. As teacher Choi Il-man, Kim Hee-won’s (Big Issue) focus is on his students, believing that his job is to help discover and nurture people’s abilities.

Last but not least, we have our next generation of heroes with Lee Jung-ha (Nevertheless) playing the bright-eyed Kim Bong-seok. As Mi-hyun and Doo-shik’s son, he inherited superpowers. But his school friends are in the same boat. Go Yoon-jung’s (Alchemy of Souls 2) Jang Hee-soo can regenerate like her dad, Joo-won, while Kim Do-hoon’s (The Law Cafe) Lee Kang-hoon is super fast and strong (presumably passed down from Jae-man).

On the production side, directing for Disney+’s Moving is helmed by PD Park In-je (Kingdom 2) and PD Park Yoon-seo, with scripts penned by the original source writer himself, Kangfull.

Coming to our screens next week, the sci-fi will be dropping the first seven episodes on August 9 and following episodes will release two a week thereafter.
