Jeon So-ni and Park Hyung-shik face curses and false charges

A new teaser has arrived for tvN’s Our Blooming Youth and we finally get a better look at our runaway heroine Jeon So-ni (Dr. Brain) along with our cursed prince Park Hyung-shik (Soundtrack #1).

The lonely crown prince Lee Hwan (Park Hyung-shik) is said to carry a dark and mysterious curse. But while the noble Min Jae-yi (Jeon So-ni) holds the key to saving Hwan, she’ll need some help in return now that she’s been framed for murdering her family.

In supportive roles, we have Jae-yi’s best friend and maidservant Pyo Ye-jin (Taxi Driver), Jae-yi’s formerly betrothed Yoon Jong-seok (Crime Puzzle), and the aspiring coroner Lee Tae-seon (Next Door Witch J).

The newly released video teaser opens on Hwan in training with his troops, when he’s suddenly hit by an arrow from behind. The appearing text screen describes him as: “The man who will lift the false charges.” We then cut to our battered heroine, who tries to fend off her pursuers despite being cornered on a cliff. In the following text screen, we read: “The woman who will lift the curse.”

In a quick sequence, we see how Jae-yi escapes by jumping off the cliff and into the water below, while Hwan chases after his attacker in the woods. Although our prince is wary when he first encounters Jae-yi, he is quick to hide her from her pursuers. The teaser then closes on Hwan making sense of their situation, realizing, “You need to protect me, and I need to protect you.”

With production led by writer Jung Hyun-jung (Lovestruck in the City) and PD Lee Jong-jae (Psychopath Diary), tvN’s fictional sageuk Our Blooming Youth premieres on February 6 in the Monday-Tuesday slot.
