The new SBS drama “Nobody Knows” is a mystery tracking drama that poses the question, ‘Would my life have changed if I had met a good grown-up?’ and tells the story of a police officer who wants to protect children who are on the edge.
Popular actress Kim Seo hyung, who created the mysterious character of Kim Joo-yeong in the jTBC drama “SKY Castle” is back with a new drama.
This time she tackles the role of Cha Yeong-jin, the team manager of the Seoul District Police Department homicide team 1. She lost her friend to a case in the past and she’s stuck in between the police and the victim, unlike other police characters in tracking dramas. Kim Seo hyung‘s analysis of her character and expression is being highly anticipated.
Ryu Deok hwan is by her side. He’s a proven actor who has led “God’s Quiz” until season 5. This time he tackles the role of Lee Seon-woo, a teacher of a middle school who wants to be a good grown-up. At the premiere of the drama, he had said, “I don’t mind a small role” and showed his belief in the drama.
Other cast members like Park Hoon, Moon Sung-keun, Min Jin-woong, Park Chul-min, Kwon Hae-hyo, Jang Youngnam and Seo Yisook will increase immersion in the drama. PD Lee Jeong-heum said, “They are ready and I’m just directing. They are doing a good job on their own”.
“Nobody Knows” is a completely new kind of genre, as it is a sensitive tracking drama. It is more focused on emotion than tracking.
“It’s typical for a tracking drama to star a detective who chases criminals, solve cases and catch someone, but we make a point of the bonds between the people in the process”, said PD Lee Jeong-heum. “We are different from other detective dramas. You may think the drama is heavy, but you may feel comfort in the stories of people that depend on each other, and other points”.
Unlike other dramas that start filming 3~4 months ahead of the first broadcast, “Nobody Knows” started filming 7 months ahead of time for a perfect completion. It’s another reason why it’s looked forward to as a well-made drama.
