  • Excuse me while I hold my breath for tvN’s The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, rapt under the spell of Wie Ha-joon (Gyeongseong Creature) in the latest posters – not that Jung Ryeo-won (May It Please the Court) isn’t bringing the pretty herself. With the premiere now just a few weeks away on May 11, the nights of love will be coming to our screens through the talented hands of PD Ahn Pan-seok (One Spring Night, Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food) and writer Park Kyung-hwa.   • Character posters have dropped for SBS’s Connection, showcasing the many faces of detective Ji Sung (Adamas) and journalist Jeon Mi-do (Thirty-Nine). With the mysterious death of a mutual high school friend at the center of the crime-mystery, the series takes off on May 24 with always-a-prosecutor Kwon Yul (Longing for You) and chaebol Kim Kyung-nam (The One and Only) co-starring.   • LG’s U+ Mobile TV announced their cast for the new youth series Fragile, promising us a ~hyperreal~ dive into this generation, from dating to social media, and conflicting with adults. Gathering a fresh-faced group to heighten the feel of everyday students, our story stars Kim So-hee, Kim Eo-jin, Park Seung-jin, Kwon Hee-song, and Moon Ji-won among other rookies selected through an audition process.   • In more casting news for Amazon Prime’s upcoming Butterfly, Kim Ji-hoon (Death’s Game) is the latest to confirm joining the lineup, headlined by Daniel Dae Kim and Reina Hardesty. Adapted from a graphic novel series by the same title, the six-episode spy-thriller also stars Park Hae-soo (Narco-Saints) and Kim Tae-hee (Lies Hidden in My Garden). [News1]

  • New character posters and an official teaser takes the stage for Netflix’s black comedy and suspense series The 8 Show.
