New character posters have dropped for tvN’s upcoming Delightfully Deceitful, showcasing our con-artist heroine Chun Woo-hee (Be Melodramatic) and her too-caring lawyer Kim Dong-wook (My Perfect Stranger). With scripts by Han Woo-joo and PD Lee Soo-hyun (Shooting Stars) directing, the revenge drama will be coming to our screens on May 29. [News1]
tvN is also prepping for June, inviting us on a carousel ride with Shin Hye-sun (Mr. Queen) in the first poster for See You in My 19th Life. Based on a popular webtoon by the same title, the fantasy-rom also stars Ahn Bo-hyun (Yumi’s Cells 2), Ha Yoon-kyung (Extraordinary Attorney Woo), and Ahn Dong-goo (The Law Cafe). Premiering in the weekend slot, PD Lee Na-jung (Mine) is at the helm with writing by Choi Young-rim. [News2n]
Over on Wavve, the restless Lee Na-young (Romance Is a Bonus Book) is about to start Park Ha-kyung’s Travels and we’re taken on her quiet, little adventure across South Korea. In addition to new stills, the drama also just released its second teaser. Brought to us by the team behind Samjin Company English Class, filmmaker Lee Jong-pil and writer Sohn Mi, the slice-of-life series begins on May 24. [MBC]
Honey Lee (One the Woman) is in talks to star in a new drama called Aema. Exploring the ins and outs of the South Korean film industry in the 1980s, the comedy will be a fictional take on the making of the real-life 1982 film Madame Aema. Production is still in the planning stages and is currently focused on casting. [JTBC]
A new poster has come out as well for the web drama Bitch X Rich, previously called Cheongdam International High School. But who cares about homework and exams when the story’s stakes involve a murder incident – among other things – resulting in a face-off between our two leads: Lee Eun-saem (Cheer Up) and Red Velvet’s Yeri. The youth drama launches May 31 on Wavve and Netflix. [MBC]
Disney+ announced that The Murderer’s Shopping Mall is on their lineup for 2024, with Lee Dong-wook (Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938) and Kim Hye-joon (Connect) headlining the series. The two will be playing uncle and niece in the action-novel adaptation, with production led by Lee Kwon, Noh Kyu-yub, and Ji Ho-jin. [Star News]
In the meantime, a new batch of stills have arrived for Disney+’s Race, which stars Lee Yeon-hee (Welcome to Wedding Hell), Hong Jong-hyun (Stock Struck), Moon Sori (Queenmaker), and Yunho (Meloholic). The office drama releases next week on May 10. [MBC]
