Prior to the release of “Crash Landing on You” actor Lee Shin young had little profile to speak of. He had neither a leading role nor a supporting role in the drama, and was only belatedly identified by fans as one of the North Korean military squadmates of the lead character played by Hyun Bin.
But “Crash Landing on You” has been a major boon for Lee Shin young‘s popularity, giving the rookie character rising star status.
Lee Shin young is a young actor. He will turn twenty-two years old on January 24th and is represented by Forest Entertainment. Though a rookie actor, this is not Lee Shin young‘s first acting role, having appeared in a couple of obscure webdramas in 2019. But Lee Shin young has made the most of his role in “Crash Landing on You”, making the most of relatively little screentime and showing expert interplay and chemistry with Hyun Bin and the other squadmates.
Lee Shin young has also attracted a strong reputation as an actor who is easy to work with and eager to listen to direction and advice. Morale on the shooting set of “Crash Landing on You” has been extremely strong, in spite of the frigid weather, and has proven critical to the drama’s success. Lee Shin young has not been publicly offered any new roles, but with “Crash Landing on You” breaching ratings of 14%, his reappearance in another South Korean drama is all but inevitable at this point.
