Taecyeon feels his Heartbeat for instant ramyun

Taecyeon feels his Heartbeat for instant ramyun

Put your hands up for KBS’s newest teaser for Heartbeat, finally revealing more of the supporting cast with another look at our main pair’s first meet-scare.

This time opening with our heroine Won Ji-ahn (If You Wish Upon Me), we learn in voiceover that her father recently passed and left her all of his possessions, including a creepy old house. But when she goes to investigate the property, she certainly did not expect to find Taecyeon (Blind) sleeping in her basement.

Our undead Seon Woo-hyul (Taecyeon) is very cranky, though, having been woken up before his alarm. As we watch the backstory in flashback, Joo In-hae (Won Ji-ahn) recaps the main points: “You’re a vampire who tried to become human by sleeping in this cramped coffin for 100 years. But you failed because I opened the coffin one day early?” Not believing a word, In-hae promptly tells Woo-hyul to scram.

We then cut to our fish-out-of-water hero reuniting with his vampire minions: Yoon Byung-hee (Delightfully Deceitful) and Go Kyu-pil (Shadow Detective). They update Woo-hyul on how the world has changed and it’s not just the new technology. He can forget about drinking blood off humans and even vampires have to work to make money.

In-hae then gets a second meet-scare when Woo-hyul shows up at her work. He proudly tells her that he’s been hired as the school custodian. But he’s also under instructions from Kim In-kwon (Kokdu: Season of Deity) to stay by In-hae’s side and protect her. After finally believing that Woo-hyul is a vampire, In-hae also starts to wonder if he likes her.

The next sequence introduces our main four actors, which includes Park Kang-hyun (West Side Story) and Yoon So-hee (Peng) – in both her past and present forms. We then hear the question again of why Woo-hyul wants to become human and he replies, “Love. I want to experience a heartbeating love.”

The teaser then closes as our half-vampire has an amazing first experience with instant ramyun and drinks at a convenience store, while In-hae looks on in shock.

Following My Perfect Stranger in the Monday-Tuesday slot, KBS’s Heartbeat premieres on June 26 with production led by PD Lee Hyun-seok (Hello? It’s Me, The King’s Affection) and PD Lee Min-soo (The Stain), and writing by Kim Ha-na and Jung Seung-joo.
