3 August 8, 2022August 7, 2022 Drama viewership ratings for the week of Aug. 1-7, 2022 by DB Staff This week Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist takes the spot of Link: Eat, Love, Kill and is already doubling its ratings, while Extraordinary Attorney Woo continues to fly high (mentioning that its ratings sunk to just under […]
Drama viewership ratings for the week of Jul. 25-31, 2022
Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s success is much deserved, but it still baffles me which dramas take off and which don’t. I knew Adamas was going to struggle. Too many thrillers with similar themes and the same faces. Plus, Extraordinary Attorney Woo is a beast. Adamas is not airing directly against it, but even the rerun right […]
Drama viewership ratings for the week of Jul. 18-24, 2022
Drama viewership ratings for the week of Jul. 18-24, 2022 by DB Staff With so many dramas ending this week, ratings are all ahoo — notably, the Why Her? finale episode peaked in the double digits, stealing eyeballs from Alchemy of Souls. Eve also saw a jump for its finale episode. But of course the […]
Drama viewership ratings for the week of Jul. 11-17, 2022
Extraordinary Attorney Woo is taking the world by storm and I’m cheering along every new stratospheric milestone. It’s always satisfying to see a great drama actually get the ratings it deserves. An actual under-appreciated gem that did not get its due attention would be Link. I mourn the fact that this clearly isn’t appealing to […]
Drama viewership ratings for the week of Jun. 20-26, 2022
Our weekender IT’S BEAUTIFUL NOW is doing OK – which makes sense now that real conflicts and problems have really come out. It is still far less makjang than its predecessor (which had higher ratings) but I am enjoying it far more precisely because it is not employing plot tricks like amnesia. As for WOORI- […]

As for our weekday slots, Red Heart climbs […]
Drama viewership ratings for the week of Jun. 6-12, 2022
Our Blues truly deserved its high ratings. I could watch another 20 episodes of stories set on Jeju Island. I’m glad to see Red Heart’s ratings rise a bit this week. I hope they continue to rise for the final four episodes. The drama deserves much higher ratings. It seems all SBS needs to do […]
Drama viewership ratings for the week of May 30-Jun. 5, 2022
Personally, I don’t find Our Blues dreary. It’s really well done and very Korean, I would say. There have been a few exceptions, such as Business Proposal and HomeCha, but overall, rom-coms haven’t done that well for quite some time. Koreans seem to be more into makjang, slice-of-life and thrillers/dramas dealing with corruption. Source
