Soyou, the former member of SISTAR, one of the most iconic second-generation K-Pop girl groups, recently shocked her fans with her amazing physical transformation.
During the days when she promoted as a part of SISTAR, Soyou was often praised for her unbelievable body proportions. She not only had a very desirable hourglass structure, but her toned muscles added an athletic elegance to her appearance.
However, the singer had her share of troubles with fitness and maintaining her body shape during the pandemic. In 2021, Soyou posted a video on her YouTube channel where she shared with fans that she had reached her heaviest weight ever, at 62.4 kg. She posted her body shots, explaining that she had been diagnosed with mild obesity.
But after this unexpected change in her body, the idol became determined to get back to her old shape. In just six weeks, she shed quite some weight through diet and exercise. However, she also warned fans that her diet and workout regime was curated for her body specifically, and following it blindly won’t do them any good.
Her body was transforming fast, and she showed off her newfound confidence in an editorial in the June issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.
But it looks like Soyou didn’t stop at shedding her gained weight back then. In her latest Instagram post, the singer showed off her well-defined abs in a daring shirtless picture. She captioned it with, “Just wait till Summer.”
Needless to say, her post left fans awestruck.

But some interpreted her caption as a possible hint at SISTAR’s much-awaited reunion. After all, they are still known as the “Summer Queens” of Korea!
Whether it is a hint at new music or just a celebration of her own body, Soyou is ready to set fire this Summer!
