Good Partner kdrama – Episode 16 Recap and Spoilers.
In the finale episode of SBS’s Good Partner, which aired on the 20th, Jang Nara and Nam Ji-hyun portrayed Cha Eun-kyung and Han Yu-ri, respectively, showcasing their dynamic partnership.
On this episode, Han Yu-ri welcomed new lawyer Lee Han-na (Go Ah-sung) to the divorce team. Han Yu-ri asked, “Aren’t you disappointed to jump straight into divorce cases?” Lee Han-na replied enthusiastically, “I’ve always wanted to be a divorce lawyer. I’m excited about the future cases!”
Han Yu-ri took on the case of Park Ae-yeon (Son Ji-na), the wife of Oh Dae-gyu (Jung Jae-sung), previous CEO of Dae-joong Law Firm. When Han Yu-ri questioned why Ae-yeon chose Dae-joong for her divorce, Ae-yeon explained, “I thought he’d want to settle things quickly. It’s better than dragging it out, especially since we haven’t seen each other in three years. I want it over.”
Oh Dae-gyu then went to Cha Eun-kyung’s law office, insisting she handle his divorce. He declared, “You can’t lose; you must defeat Dae-joong.”
Both Oh Dae-gyu and Park Ae-yeon voiced their frustrations about their 30 years together—he feeling like an ATM and she like a housekeeper. Cha Eun-kyung and Han Yu-ri facilitated a conversation between them, where Park set conditions for the divorce that Oh Dae-gyu ultimately chose to meet with kneeling down in front of Ae-yeon. He expressed his gratitude for her sacrifices, and they reconciled.
Cha Eun-kyung also helped Kim Ji-sang (Ji Seung-hyun) reconnect with his daughter, Kim Jae-hee (Yuna). She encouraged him to approach her with warmth, leading to a touching moment when he reached out to her.
Soon after, Cha Eun-kyung and Han Yu-ri found themselves as opposing lawyers in a new case. As they left the courtroom, Cha Eun-kyung remarked, “Looks like we’ll be seeing each other monthly for the next year.” With smiles exchanged, it was clear that they will continue being a good partner to each other.
