IU is going to release an OST soon!
IU will be releasing an OST for the popular tVN drama Crash Landing On You. On February 3, a source from Crash Landing On You responded to reports of IU releasing the OST, and confirming that while she will indeed release it, there is not date set for the release as of yet.
With this release, it will mark IU’s first official OST in 9 years!
IU’s last official OST release was “Hold My Hand” for the drama The Greatest Love in 2011.
In 2019, she starred in the main role as Jang Man Wol for the drama Hotel Del Luna, and while she did release the song “Happy Ending” for it, it did not release as a separate OST track last year.
Her participation in the OST for the drama this time came after creating a friendship with write Park Ji Eun, who she previously worked with for the drama The Producers, in 2015.
IU recently made a comeback with Love Poem, with the singles “Love Poem” and “Blueming”. She has also recently completed her Asia tour and has also signed with EDAM Entertainment, a company created by her manager of 12 years.
