Kim Tae-hee digs to find the Lies Hidden in My Garden
by tccolb
The first teaser is out for ENA’s new dark suspense Lies Hidden in My Garden, featuring our main leads Kim Tae-hee (Hi Bye, Mama!) and Im Ji-yeon (The Glory), along with a brief glimpse of their shadowy husbands Kim Sung-oh (Unlock the Boss) and Choi Jae-rim (Green Mothers’ Club).
The garden in question belongs to our heroine Moon Joo-ran (Kim Tae-hee) and we begin the teaser with the story’s trigger: when Joo-ran notices something strange in her backyard. Looking out at the lawn with a stricken gaze, she asks Park Jae-ho (Kim Sung-oh), “There’s some kind of stench, don’t you smell it?”

We then cut to Chu Sang-eun’s (Im Ji-yeon) terrible home life with Kim Yoon-beom (Choi Jae-rim), leading to the ominous question, “Have you ever killed someone, by any chance?” As the situation – and music – turns more dire for our protagonists, the appearing captions read: “There is a dead body smell in the yard.”
As if driven mad, Joo-ran tries to dig up what she suspects is buried in her garden, laughing while also crying at what she’s discovered. In contrast, a dead-eyed and drained Sang-eun is dressed in funeral attire, shedding a single tear for the recently deceased. The teaser then comes to an end as our two women finally meet and stand face-to-face.
Written by Ji Ah-ni with PD Jung Ji-hyun (Twenty Five Twenty One, Search Query: WWW) as the talent behind the camera, ENA’s Lies Hidden in My Garden premieres on June 19, following Oh! Young-shim in the Monday-Tuesday slot.
