During her segment of Look Me Up, former 2NE1 member Sandara Park didn’t mind looking back on her idol days and sharing what’s changed since then. One of those changes was no longer watching Korean music shows and staying up to date with new groups—for a heartbreaking reason.
Despite gearing up for her Korean solo debut, the veteran singer admitted she wasn’t aware of the latest trends among K-Pop idols and groups. Sandara said, “I’m not so familiar with current singers and music shows.”
Sandara stopped herself from checking out new groups and shows because they brought back emotional memories. She said, “I don’t watch it often these days because I found myself tearing up whenever I watched a music show/year-end award show after I stopped working as a singer.” There were a few exceptions, though.
While Sandara couldn’t bear to watch new groups, she took comfort in watching groups from her generation reunite. She admitted, “However, I did watch the comeback shows of my second-generation colleagues. SHINee, 2PM, and all.”
Seeing them reunite fueled Sandara’s wish for her group to do the same. She finished, “I hope 2NE1 can be among them.”
