Things get crazy between Kim Jae-wook and Krystal in KBS’s Crazy Love
by missvictrix
After being under wraps for quite some time, KBS’s upcoming Crazy Love has released its first poster and video teaser. I might have been skeptical with this pairing and premise when I first read about it, but omg I really dig the vibes of this thing so far. Please be this excellently weird when you premiere, Show!
Kim Jae-wook is back as the male lead in a romance (all hail the drama gods!) and he plays a genius dirtbag CEO who’s crazy for money. He might be smart, handsome, and hard-working, but he’s also completely unlikable due to his extreme narcissism. In contrast, his secretary Krystal is equally hard-working but is also painfully shy, has no backbone, and – wait for it — is terminally ill. When Kim Jae-wook gets a death threat, things get turned upside down for both of them.

In the drama’s first teaser, we get a look at our two leads and some important descriptors for their characters. This teaser is so seedy and swanky (much like the poster) — I don’t think they could do anything to make me like this more.
First up is Kim Jae-wook. He is on display for us while the keywords “190 IQ” and “math genius” appear in neon around him. In the next cut, we see him fanning himself with a wad of cash and he narrates the next descriptor, “money-crazed person.” In the next cut he growls at the camera (lol) and the description reads “filthy scumbag CEO.”
We then move on to Krystal, who shrinks back from said growl while a wincing noise plays and the neon description reads, “his prey.” In her next shot, she does a 180, and with a murderous look and a hammer in hand, she narrates the next keyword: “revenge-crazed person.” Then it’s back to the scared and wincing secretary with a phrase that suggests the she might have more advantage in this situation than we think. The teaser closes with the title cards and the upcoming premiere date.
Directed by Kim Jung-hyun (My Fellow Citizens, Jugglers) and written by Kim Bo-gyum, Crazy Love premieres in its Monday-Tuesday slot on March 7.
