EXO’s Chen and his wife—a non-celebrity—became first-time parents to a baby girl in April this year, just months after the idol announced on LYSN that he had found a partner he wanted “to spend the rest of [his] life with”.
Fans were quick to celebrate the news across social media, drowning out negative discussions from antis.

Earlier this year, they even took part in an episode of KBS’s Mr. House Husband, with both singers and their eldest son Jae Yul spending some family time together. During the episode Yulhee shared that she was pregnant with twins.
Yulhee later gave birth to two daughters, Ah Yoon and Ah Rin, on February 11.
Former 9MUSES member Eunji announced her pregnancy late last year in an Instagram post, entertaining fans with hashtags like #HowDoIBeginPrenatalCare and #BecomingAPig.
Eunji tagged her husband, a non-celebrity, whom she tied the knot with in October 2018.
The singer announced that she had given birth to the baby, Sia, on Instagram too. Sia was born on June 15 weighing 3.48 kilos.
Another former 9MUSES member became a mother this year. While Eunji became the mother of a baby girl, Sungha recently gave birth to a boy. She shared a video of her new-born son on March 19.
Sungha married her “baby daddy”, DJ DaQ, in 2018 after roughly a year of dating.
In her birth announcement, Sungha shared that her baby (who she referred to as “Blessing”, was born at 3:09 p.m. weighing 7.9 pounds.
Seems like it’s the year of girl group babies! Former T-ARA member Ahreum yet another girl group member who became a mother this year. She announced the great news on Instagram in May where she wrote a special post with a photo of her husband and the new-born baby boy.
Even though Ahreum faced some backlash from Korean netizens in late 2019 regarding her premarital pregnancy, she didn’t hesitate to update her fans about the blessing. She also shared the difficulties she went through during labor and how much happiness the baby brought to her.
