Cha Eun Woo in Talks for Lead Role in “Island”

Cha Eun Woo (True Beauty) is now in talks for a lead role in the new Korean drama Island. He would play a hip exorcist priest with a sad past. Kim Nam Gil (The Fiery Priest) was recently confirmed for a lead role. Also still considering another starring role is Seo Ye Ji (It’s Okay to Not Be Okay).

Island is a fantasy mystery about the daughter of a wealthy family who is exiled to Jeju Island and is targeted by a creature that is trying to destroy humans. She meets a man who needs her to end his immortal life as well as an exorcist priest and they all team up.

Island is looking to air in the second half of 2021 on OCN.
