Filipina Shares How The Korean Government Actually Treats Foreigners During Coronavirus (COVID-19) Crisis, Here’s Why Her Post Went Viral

Because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, research shows that daily life changes in South Korea are to be expected. For example, 96% of Koreans avoid crowded places now.

64% actually prefer to do online shopping instead of the traditional method of going out to buy what you need. And a lot of events, including K-Pop-related events, have been postponed or cancelled.

Now that these statistics show how the daily life in Korea has changed, it’s only natural for you to wonder if these trends are applicable to Koreans only, or are they the same with foreigners who work or reside in the country as well?

One Filipina shared in her Facebook post how the Korean government is actually treating everyone, yes, even foreigners, during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

She shared that once you’ve reached the KTX station, the government has set up testing booths to test you immediately.

This is what they did to us yesterday. They have testing booths so when you arrive at KTX station, you’ll be tested already. Staffs are very friendly and approachable.

You’re not allowed to take taxi or bus when you go home. They have a special bus that will drop you off at your home for free. You’ll find out the result of your COVID-19 test after one day.

In her delight, she also shared another post that immediately went viral — it was all about the “relief goods” that she received from the Korean government.
