  • It’s official! After rumors and rumors of rumors, full Squid Game 2 casting is confirmed for Netflix’s sequel with Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-heon, and Wie Ha-hoon reprising their roles. And for the much-anticipated new players, we have — wait for it — Im Shi-wan (Summer Strike), Kang Haneul (Curtain Call), new Netflix it-boy Park Sung-hoon (The Glory), and Yang Dong-geun (The Forbidden Marriage).   • Netflix announced their lineup for the medical series The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call (previously, Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour), which stars Joo Ji-hoon (Jirisan), Choo Young-woo (Oasis), Yoon Kyung-ho (Cleaning Up), Ha Young (Taxi Driver 2), and Jung Jae-kwang (My Perfect Stranger). Based on a popular webnovel, which was also made into a webtoon, the drama adaptation will have filmmaker Lee Do-yoon (Confession) at the helm with scripts by Choi Tae-kang (Adamas). [News1]
  • Unsettling us with more promos, SBS released a new poster and video teaser of our possessed heroine Kim Tae-ri (Twenty Five Twenty One) in the upcoming horror Revenant. Also starring Oh Jung-se (Uncle) and Hong Kyung (Weak Hero Class 1), the occult thriller follows Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 3 in the weekend slot, premiering next week on June 23. [SBS]

  • The great Kim Hye-soo (Under the Queen’s Umbrella) is considering the leading role in the new underdog office-comedy Trigger (working title). If she accepts, Kim will be playing the host of a mystery show, similar to the real-life SBS program Unanswered Questions – which is hosted by Kim Sang-joong (The Banker). Directed by PD Yoo Sun-dong (The Uncanny Counter 2), the story will follow Kim’s character and the production team as they scramble to fight cancellation. [Sports Chosun]
  • A new series called Melo House is in the works, with offers out to Ji Jin-hee (The Road: The Tragedy of One), Kim Ji-soo (High Class), Sohn Na-eun (Agency), and Min-ho (The Fabulous). In a story about making amends and the bonds of both family and love, production is still in the planning stages with filming set to begin once casting has been finalized. [News1]

  • Channel A is planning a new romance as well, courting Donghae (Oh! Young-shim) and Lee Seol (One Ordinary Day) for our main pair in Man and Woman (working title). Aiming to broadcast in the latter half of this year, the webtoon adaptation sets off with our lead couple broken up after seven years together. The story will then explore the realistic ups and downs of dating relationships. [Xports News]
  • Together with a gloomy new poster, JTBC’s latest teaser for Miracle Brothers takes us through all the emotions of our amnesiac tele-empath Bae Hyun-sung (Gaus Electronics) – while Jung Woo (Mental Coach Jegal) tries to help. Taking over the Wednesday-Thursday slot, the mystery-fantasy premieres later this month on June 28. [Sports Donga]
